Join us at Animal Imaging for an exciting in-person exclusive continuing education event designed specifically for veterinarians looking to enhance their confidence and clinical skills in veterinary neurology.

This three hour program will cover how advanced imaging works synergistically with other imaging modalities and how it can improve our understanding of soft tissue injuries. It will also cover when and why to choose certain imaging modalities to improve case management, therapy, rehabilitation and recheck examinations.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the fundamental components of the neurologic exam and how to perform them efficiently in a clinical setting
  • Develop a structured approach to neuroanatomic localization based on examination findings and patient history
  • Recognize common clinical presentations of brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerve disease in dogs and cats
  • Differentiate neurologic disease from orthopedic and systemic conditions using practical, inhouse diagnostics
  • Formulate logical diagnostic and treatment plans for neurologic patients using resources commonly available in general practice

 

SPEAKER

Jennifer Rich, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)

Dr. Jennifer Rich is a boarded veterinary neurologist through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) with over a decade of clinical experience diagnosing and treating neurologic veterinary patients. She finds particular passion in networking within the veterinary community and in developing healthy boundaries for mental well-being within the profession. Dr. Jennifer is not only an advocate for her patients, but also for the primary care veterinarians on the front line.
