He and his wife, Dr. Jo Alleman have two children, Abigail and Natalie. In his spare time, Dr. Hays enjoys reading history based books, outdoor activities, training his retrievers and managing their farm in Oklahoma. The family currently has 3 dogs, all labrador retrievers; Mojo, Adie and Lilly and 3 cats; LJ, Padfoot and Mateo.
