Our Imaging Externship Program gives students exposure to multiple modalities of diagnostic imaging including MRI, CT, nuclear scintigraphy, ultrasonography, and radiography. Opportunities for exposure in equine anesthesia, sports medicine, and lameness diagnosis are also available.
The externs are offered hands-on experience with our small animal and equine patients and doctors during their appointments. Externs will develop skills in veterinary radiology such as image acquisition, interpretation, anesthesia, etc.
- On-site housing includes a fully furnished apartment with a private bedroom and kitchen area.
- Externships are recommended in the spring, summer, and fall.
Externship opportunities are open to veterinary students with basic horse handling experience, proof of liability insurance, health insurance and a signed release form.
